We try to update this list at least weekly. Unless otherwise noted, these homes require minimum leases from six to twelve months depending on the time of year the property comes on the market and the Owner's desires. Many properties do not permit pets and all do not permit smoking inside. Residential properties are equipped with a minimum of a refrigerator and cook range unless otherwise noted. When pets are permitted, additional security deposit (refundable) is held, the amount determined by the property Owner. All properties on septic systems are charged $14/mo. septic fee towards care and maintenance of the septic system.
All prospective tenants are screened through a professional tenant screening service (tenant prospect pays a nonrefundable screening fee -- currently $38 for each adult occupant) and must meet specific minimum income, credit, and other criteria listed on our applications. Port Townsend is a picturesque Victorian seaport town of about 8,800 population on the northeast tip of the Olympic Peninsula. The marine trades, a paper mill, and the nearby U.S. Navy Indian Island facility are the largest employers in the city and surrounding Jefferson County (total population about 29,000+). Tourism is also a major employer. In addition to a steadily growing retirement population, the area is also becoming popular for professionals with home-based businesses. Monthly rental amounts for homes (single family residences) in Port Townsend listed below do not include city utilities (water/sewer/garbage) which have usual basic rates between $70-85/month. Duplex, condo, and apartment monthly rents include the cost of city utilities unless otherwise noted.

Cape George Colony Club is a private community about 6 miles west of Port Townsend proper. Many of the homes have marine views of Discovery Bay. All homes are on septic systems, water is provided by a community well system (water not included in rent). While the roads are private, it is not a gated community. There are strictly-enforced CC&R's regarding yard maintenance, pet control, etc. Club amenities are not available to renters. Port Townsend School District.
KALA POINT
Kala Point is a beautifully-maintained private, gated community bordering Admiralty Bay about ten minutes south of Port Townsend. The community's private beaches, clubhouse, pool, tennis courts, nature trails, and other amenities are available to renters at no additional charge. Homes, town homes, and condos are all available as rental units from time-to-time. There are strictly-enforced CC&R's with regard to vehicle parking, boat/RV storage, yard maintenance, pet control, etc. All homes are on septic systems, community water system ($34/month charge, $38.60 for condos, a few properties are on meters and are charged based on usage). The Tri-Area is a contiguous area of the three unincorporated towns of Port Hadlock, Irondale, and Chimacum.
